MAN ARRESTED FOR THREATENING BUSINESS OWNER WITH KNIFE

Thirty-year-old Cumberland resident Nicholas Craig Moreland was arrested in connection with a May 19th incident, in which he allegedly threatened a Greene Street business owner with a knife, after he was asked to leave the property. Moreland was charged with assault, using a dangerous weapon with intent to injure, disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct. He was also cited for having under 10 grams of marijuana. He received a District Court hearing and released on personal recognizance, pending trial.
