GOVERNOR HOGAN VETOES SANCTUARY STATE LEGISLATION

Governor Larry Hogan has vetoed four legislative measures, including one concerning sanctuary state legislation, that would impede local law enforcement’s ability to cooperate with federal law enforcement. Another bill would have impeded law enforcement’s ability to cooperate with federal law enforcement. Senate Bill 420 would have legalized the possession and distribution of heroin paraphernalia. And Senate Bill 202 would have removed the governor from the state’s parole process, making it less accountable to the public.
