MARYLAND AWARDING MILLIONS TO ENTERTAINMENT VENUES

Maryland is providing financial support for businesses and venues.  Sixty-five awards were given to the live venues that had to close or cancel events due to the coronavirus pandemic.  Governor Larry Hogan says the funds were made available through the Maryland Strong Economic Recovery Initiative.  Some of the award winners include Rams Head Live, Merriweather Post Pavilion and the Cumberland Theater.  Hogan says the awards totaled ten-million-dollars.
