State officials are warning Marylanders about an increase of unemployment insurance scams. People have been getting text messages that say their unemployment accounts are under review. The text goes on to tell people to click a link to verify their identity. MD Labor says the scam texts are coming from someone posing as ‘MD Government’ but it is definitely a scam. If you receive a similar text, do not respond to it.
