BEAR SIGHTINGS INCREASE

More Marylanders are coming across black bears.  The Maryland Department of Natural Resources says that they are receiving an increase in reports of bears in suburban counties.  The bears are most common in Allegany, Garrett, Frederick, and Washington counties.  Residents are being reminded to avoid the large animals by properly securing their trash, removing bird feeders between April-and-November, and keeping your grills clean of leftover food particles.
