A memorial was dedicated yesterday to the victims of the Capital Gazette newspaper shooting. The monument honors the five newspaper employees killed in a gunman’s deadly attack. The dedication came on the third anniversary of the mass shooting at the paper. The monument features five pillars with a passage from the First Amendment carved in stone. It honors the lives of Gerald Fischman, Rob Hiaasen, John McNamara, Rebecca Smith, and Wendi Winters.
