The Pennsylvania Turnpike commission is approving a five-percent toll hike starting next year. The approval by the commission today marks the 14th consecutive year that the turnpike rates will increase. The increase will be the same for E-Z-Pass users and those who use Toll-By-Plate. Over 86-percent of turnpike users have the prepaid pass.
