Governor Larry Hogan is rolling out a new vaccine promotion called VAXU. The Maryland Department of Health and the Maryland Higher Education Commission are teaming up to give out 50-thousand-dollars scholarships to teens between 12 and 17 who are vaccinated. The drawing begins on July 12th and winners will get the full scholarship at any public, in-state institution. A winner will be selected every week for eight weeks, ending on Labor Day. A total of one-million-dollars will be given out during the promotion.
