CHARTER SCHOOL POLICY APPROVED

The West Virginia Board of Education had nothing good to say about the prospect of charter schools in the state, but still approved the policy.  Board members’ remarks included they hope nobody applies to operate a charter school, and if not monitored, the state would be committing child abuse and school children would be outsourced.  Under the new law, the earliest a charter school could operate in the state is the fall of 2022.
