MSDE ANNOUNCES $19.5 MILLION FOR AFTER SCHOOL GRANTS

The Maryland State Department of Education says over 19-million-dollars is available for after school programs as part of the American Rescue Plan.  The funding can be used by elementary and secondary schools to provide academic enrichment opportunities, particularly for students who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools. Governor Larry Hogan says the grants will help to establish additional community programs that rally behind students, especially those most impacted by the pandemic.
