Maryland is adding over 600 new COVID-19 cases. The state reported 629 new infections and seven new deaths. Coronavirus hospitalizations increased by 24 to 424. Maryland’s seven-day positivity rate is up by point-oh-five-percent, to over four-point-two-percent. Meanwhile, the CDC is now classifying 22 of Maryland’s 24 jurisdictions as “high” or “substantial” COVID transmission areas. The only exceptions are Carroll and Queen Anne’s counties, which have “moderate” spread of the virus.
