STATE POLICE CRACK DOWN ON ROAD SAFETY

People on the Eastern Shore have been concerned with a recent increase of aggressive driving.  Maryland State Police heard the call loud-and-clear as they recently increased their presence in the region.  In a four-week period, troopers issued twelve safety equipment repair orders, 28 citations and more than 30 warnings.  ABC-47 reports that in three instances, drivers were going at least 20-miles-per-hour over the normal speed limit when they were stopped.  Motorists are being encouraged to follow the speed limit and obey traffic laws to help keep everyone safe.
