The U.S. Department of Labor says Transitions Healthcare LLC failed to pay essential Pennsylvania workers for their overtime. The department found that the Maryland-based healthcare management company failed to provide about 256 workers, including many from Pennsylvania, with overtime pay amounting to more than 73-thousand-dollars. Officials say the employer violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by failing to include earned bonuses in the calculation of overtime pay, including sign-on bonuses, retention bonuses and bonuses for working extra shifts. Transitions will have to pay the workers at five of their facilities back, including two here in Pennsylvania.
