PA. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH RELEASES NURSING HOME INSPECTION REPORT

The Pennsylvania Department of Health is releasing a new report into an inspection of state nursing homes. A multitude of recent investigations into state care facilities has resulted in over 40-thousand dollars in fines. Health officials report nursing home surveyors have conducted almost 500 inspections of over 300 different nursing throughout the state, 289 of which were complaint investigations. Acting Secretary of Health Alison Beam says she encourages staff, residents and visitors to contact the health department if they see something that needs to be reported.
