The Hampshire County Health Department erroneously reported that UPMC-Western Maryland and other regional hospitals were at full capacity, due to the resurgence of COVID-19. UPMC, in fact, does not have a shortage of beds. According to a release from the facility, it is well-equipped and able to provide care to any patient with a medical need. The hospital says it is committed to making vaccines accessible for all and encourages everyone who is eligible to receive their vaccine to do so.
