HEALTH SECRETARY ENCOURAGES EMPLOYERS TO REQUIRE COVID VAX

Maryland Health Secretary Dennis Schrader is encouraging more businesses to require that their employees are vaccinated against COVID-19. Maryland has not mandated vaccines or regular testing for state employees except those working in congregate settings like prisons, state-run hospitals, juvenile facilities and veterans’ homes.  The state says 79-point-3-percent of adults have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine, but the CDC now classifies every jurisdiction as having substantial community transmission.
