MARYLAND OFFICERS INDICTED ON FRAUD CHARGES

A group of Maryland officers have been indicted on federal fraud charges.  According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the officers conspired to commit wire, bank, and even mail fraud.  The incidents range between 2019 and 2020 with the officers each facing 20-to-30 years in prison if they’re convicted.  The six officers were from the Anne Arundel County Police Department, Prince George’s County Police Department, and the Maryland-National Capital Park Police.  One officer from P-G County is also facing murder charges for the shooting death of a man who was in handcuffs back in 2020.
