MARYLAND UNEMPLOYMENT RATE DROPS

Maryland’s unemployment rate is lower.  The state labor department says more than 22-thousand jobs were added last month, pushing the jobless rate down two-tenths of a point to an even six percent.  The professional and business services sector saw the most growth, adding 57-hundred new jobs.  Trade, transportation and utilities added 23-hundred positions.  Since the beginning of the year, Maryland has gained nearly 57-thousand jobs.
