Maryland is releasing new data on nursing home staff vaccination rates since the release of new guidelines. The Maryland Department of Health reports three facilities having 100-percent of its staff with at least one shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, while over 40 more reported a rate of 91-percent or better. Conversely, 13 facilities reported 56-percent or less of their staff had been vaccinated. The facility with the lowest reported rate was the Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant in Ellicott City, with a mere 18-percent vaccination rate. 21 facilities did not submit sufficient data according to the health department.
