MARYLAND GOVERNOR CRITICIZES U.S. WITHDRAWAL FROM AFGHANISTAN

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan is leveling more criticism at the Biden administration for its handling of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.  Speaking yesterday, Hogan said he thought multiple mistakes were made in the withdrawal, from the decision-making, the intelligence, the execution and the communications standpoints.  The governor also said the U.S. should never have given up control of Bagram Air Base, adding “we shouldn’t have telegraphed exactly what we were doing to the Taliban.”  Hogan also says Maryland is ready to accept Afghan refugees fleeing the country.
