GOVERNOR TOM WOLF WANTS SCHOOL MASK MANDATE

Governor Tom Wolf is asking lawmakers to return to session and pass legislation to mandate masks in schools. The governor has repeatedly said that he was going to let districts decide on masks, however, the Education Department has only received plans for a mask mandate from 59 out of the state’s 474 school districts. Wolf wrote a letter to Republican leaders saying he’s been receiving countless calls from parents, teachers, pediatricians and others asking for masks in schools. Wolf says it’s clear that action is needed to ensure children are safe as they return to school.
