JUDGE ALLEGEDLY ATE EVIDENCE BEFORE TAKING HIS LIFE

A new report cites federal investigators who say an Eastern Shore judge ate evidence before committing suicide. The Washington Post report yesterday cites federal investigators who say Caroline County Circuit Court Judge Jonathan Newell ate a cell phone memory card when agents originally went to question him in July.  He was being investigated over accusations he used a hidden camera in a bathroom to photograph children.  On Friday morning FBI agents went to arrest Judge Newell at his home but found him dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
