TEXAS MAN INDICTED FOR THREATENING FORMER HEALTH COMMISSIONER

A Texas man is accused of sending a threatening message to a Maryland doctor who publicly advocated for the COVID vaccine.  A federal grand jury indicted 51-year-old Scott Harris  charging that he sent a cell phone threat to Baltimore’s former Health Commissioner and current CNN medical analyst Dr. Leana Wen.  According to the indictment Harris’ message said “Never going to take your wonder drug. My 12 gauge promises I won’t – I can’t wait for the shooting to start.”  Scott had an initial appearance yesterday in U.S. District Court in Plano, Texas.
