CORRECTED DATA LOWERS NUMBER OF FULLY VAXED ADULTS IN PENNSYLVANIA

The Centers for Disease Control has corrected some COVID figures for the state of Pennsylvania. On Tuesday, the CDC reported that nearly 74 percent of commonwealth residents who were 18 or older had been fully vaccinated. On Wednesday of last week, the day before the holiday weekend, that number was adjusted to just under 69 percent — a difference, state officials say, of more than 488-thousand adults. It’s unclear exactly how the error occurred. Pennsylvania’s health department sends its data to the CDC, but the state says it continues to refine its data and remove duplicate information.
