OMICRON NOW IN 17 STATES, INCLUDING PENNSYLVANIA

Pennsylvania State health officials say the Omicron COVID variant has spread to at least 17 states, and those now include  Pennsylvania. A new study says it may be more transmissible because it shares genetic material with the common cold. Doctors are encouraging residents to receive both the coronavirus vaccine and the booster shot. Omicron was first detected in South Africa and showed up in the U.S. last week.
