The city of Cumberland and the Downtown Development Commission are inviting everyone to the New Year’s Eve Celebration, featuring the annual Ball Drop and the Fireworks Spectacular at midnight. Festivities get underway at 10:30 p.m. A large screen television will simultaneously broadcast the celebration and ball drop in New York City. The city is allowing open containers, but no glass, in certain areas on the mall and in the vicinity. Certain road closures will be in effect as well.
