HARRISBURG MAN CHARGED WITH BURNING WREATHS AT HAGERSTOWN CEMETERY

The Maryland Deputy State Fire Marshal says a Harrisburg man has been arrested and charged with malicious burning after he allegedly took wreaths from gravesites and set them on fire in Hagerstown, Maryland.  Officials say they arrested 43-year-old Peter Custer Christmas Eve after witnesses called 9-1-1 saying they saw Custer standing by a fire at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.  Officials say as Custer was arrested he referenced trying to save the earth and that plastic wreaths were non-biodegradable.  He also faces trespassing charges in the incident.
