MARYLAND RESUMES REPORTING COVID DEATHS

Maryland is releasing data on COVID-19 deaths for the first time since a cyberattack on the state health department website earlier this month.  State health officials say there have been 415 deaths since the December 4th attack, bringing the pandemic death toll to over eleven-thousand-400.  The state also added more than 65-hundred new cases and 112 hospitalizations.  COVID hospitalizations stand at more than 18-hundred and are at their highest level since January.  The positivity rate is up by more than one-percent to over 17 and-a-half-percent.
