Maryland hospitals are seeing an increase in pediatric COVID-19 cases. Johns Hopkins Pediatrician Doctor Aaron Milstone says the increase can be attributed to the more contagious Omicron variant and the increase in indoor holiday get-togethers without masks. Doctor Milstone says most children do not become very ill, however those with flu-like symptoms should be tested along with everyone else in their household. Of the 18-hundred-26 patients hospitalized with the virus in Maryland, 19 are children and three of them are in the ICU.
