CUMBERLAND MAN ARRESTED FOR VEHICLE THEFT

Twenty-two-year-old Jaden Tyrone Jessie was arrested in Washington County for motor vehicle theft. An initial report stated that a vehicle was taken from the 200-block of Bowen Street, and an attempt to locate was broadcast. The vehicle was located by the Hancock Police Department and the Maryland State Police. Jessie was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center, received a District Court hearing, and held on $5,000 bond. Jessie was also issued a criminal summons for another motor vehicle theft from the 100-block of Oak Street. He signed for a criminal summons and is awaiting trial in District Court in conjunction with the additional theft.
