BEALL ELEMENTARY STUDENTS TAKEN TO HOSPITAL

Four Beall Elementary School students from the same family were taken by ambulance to UPMC-Western Maryland yesterday afternoon, when school officials observed they were, quote, “not acting right,” end quote. The first child was transported before 2 p.m. and three other family members in the school were also taken for medical evaluation. The Frostburg Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the family home to check on possible exposure to carbon monoxide, explosive materials, or other hazardous substances, but nothing was found. According to the Cumberland Times-News, Mia Cross, public information officer for the school system, said the school system doesn’t comment on student medical issues.
