Cumberland resident Gabriel Rae Diaw has been arrested, after being accused of breaking into a Baker Street residence and assaulting a person by trying to set them on fire. Diaw allegedly poured an accelerant on the victim, but was unsuccessful in lighting the accelerant. He fled the residence, but was later arrested. He is charged with first and second-degree assault, burglary, reckless endangerment and malicious destruction of property. He received a District Court hearing, where he was ordered held without bond.
