LEGISLATION TO RESOLVE EZ-PASS PROBLEMS ADVANCES IN LEGISLATURE

A bill to help resolve problems in disputing charges in the EZ-Pass program has advanced in the state legislature.  Yesterday, the Maryland House of Delegates approved a bill to extend the timeframe to dispute EZ-Pass charges to a full year.  Right now, any disputes must be filed within 120 days.  Lawmakers say they hope this helps relieve the backlog in disputed cases and lengthy call wait times caused by the pandemic.  The measure now heads to the Maryland State Senate for consideration.
