The Archdiocese of Baltimore says it has found no evidence to substantiate charges against a priest charged with child sex abuse. The archdiocese conducted its own investigation against Father Martin Demek and found there was no evidence of child sex abuse. The archdiocese said it worked with a team of investigators and interviewed nearly 50 people before reaching its decision in the case. The church also ruled that Father Demek can return to active ministry. The probe came after someone accused Demek of sex abuse from a 1989 incident. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office which also investigated the charges found no evidence of any crime and did not file charges in the case.
