MARYLAND LAWMAKERS PASS BILL CREATING APPRAISAL BIAS TASK FORCE

Lawmakers in Maryland’s House and Senate have approved a measure to study home appraisal bias in the state. The bill creates a task force that will look into the under evaluation of property owned by minorities. The task force would report its findings and recommendations to the Governor and General Assembly by the end of October in 2023. It’s not known if Governor Larry Hogan will sign the bill into law.
