What little remains of the administration building at the West Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind will be torn down. The state board of education is reviewing the four bids for the demolition of the burned-out structure. There is interest in saving the historic bricks from the building, which was built in the 1860’s. Alumni have expressed interest in keeping the bricks as well as a spot on campus to remember the tragic February 26th fire. Demolition work could begin soon. The cause of the fire remains listed as undetermined.
