COVID-19 CASES INCREASE IN MARYLAND

Maryland’s COVID numbers continue to increase with the state health department reporting 864 new cases of the virus. Loyola University Associate Biology Professor Doctor Chris Thompson says there may even be more cases because fewer people are being tested and others are testing at home. Doctor Thompson encourages the public to continue safety measures and get vaccinated and boosted. The state’s positivity rate is now three-point-two-seven-percent, up from one-point-five-percent in late March.
