NEW POLL SHOWS CLOSE RACE FOR BALTIMORE CITY STATE’S ATTORNEY

A new poll shows a close contest in the July 19 Democratic primary for Baltimore City State’s Attorney. According to a poll, incumbent Marilyn Mosby takes 35-percent of the vote and former federal prosecutor Thiru Vignarajah with 32-percent. Defense attorney Ivan Bates is favored by 13-percent of those polled with 19-percent undecided. The poll has a four-point-nine-percent margin of error. Mosby officially filed for reelection last week. She faces a federal trial in September on perjury and false statement charges in the purchase of two Florida vacation homes.
