PENNSYLVANIA COMMITS $53 MILLION TOWARD ROUTE 219 PROJECT

The state of Pennsylvania has committed $53 million to carry the U.S. Route 219 project through its final design, which was one of the few major hurdles remaining, to get the project to construction in 2028.  In a bipartisan move, lawmakers on both sides of the aisle say the funding will help accelerate the four-lane expansion from the Meyersdale Bypass to the Maryland line, according to the Cumberland Times-News.
