Few appear to have it worse than Marylanders when it comes to being burdened by taxes. A new study by WalletHub looked at property tax, income tax, sales and excise tax in all 50 states. It ranked Maryland 11th in the nation. New York had the highest tax burden, and Alaska had the lowest. Tax Day was Monday, April 18th.
