FINAL PLANT-A-TREE EVENT HELD AT THE FLIGHT 93 NATIONAL MEMORIAL

After ten years, the final trees have been planted at the Flight 93 National Memorial near Shanksville.  Over the weekend, around five hundred volunteers helped plant more than 14-thousand trees to complete the project.  In 2012, the project was created to help transform and heal the landscape around the former surface mine where United Flight 93 crashed on September 11th, 2001.  There are now over 150-thousand new trees at the memorial.
