MARYLAND COVID POSITIVITY RISES ABOVE 5 PER CENT

Maryland’s seven-day COVID-19 positivity rate is above five-percent for the first time in nearly three-months.  As all of Maryland’s COVID metrics rise, the state health department reports more than one-thousand new infections and 15 additional virus-related deaths.  Nearly 220 coronavirus patients are hospitalized after 15 people were admitted over the past 24-hours.  Seven children are hospitalized with the virus in Maryland, including two in the ICU.
