TURBO TAX OWNERS AGREE TO SETTLEMENT WITH MARYLAND

The owner of TurboTax is agreeing to a settlement for charging for services that should’ve been offered for free.  State Attorney General Brian Frosh says Intuit, the owner of TurboTax, owes up to 66-thousand Marylanders money.  An agreement involving all 50 states and Washington, DC involves 141-million dollars in refunds.  Consumers are expected to receive a direct payment of approximately 30 dollars for each year that they were deceived into paying for filing services.
