UNEMPLOYMENT DECLINES IN CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA

Unemployment figures are inching their way down across Central Pennsylvania.  The data released for March show the rates for the mid- state metropolitan statistical areas of Harrisburg, York, Lancaster, Lebanon and Chambersburg were less than four percent.  In many cases, they were more than a point below the whole state’s average of four-point-six-percent for the month.  Gettysburg’s unemployment rate was reported at three percent.
