JOBLESS CLAIMS DIP IN MARYLAND

Fewer people are seeking unemployment benefits in Maryland.  U.S. labor officials say about 16-hundred Marylanders filed initial jobless claims last week, which is about 530 fewer than the previous week.  New claims jumped by eleven in DC, while rose by over 250 in Virginia.  Nationally, 19-thousand people joined the ranks of the unemployed, with jobless claims totaling 200-thousand last week.
