Pennsylvania’s lieutenant governor and Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate is expected to get a pacemaker. John Fetterman’s campaign says he’ll have one of the devices implanted after he had a stroke last Friday. His campaign says the short procedure will protect the 52-year-old’s heart and address the underlying cause of his stroke by regulating his heart rate and rhythm. The stroke was caused by a clot from his heart, which doctors were able to remove — effectively reversing the stroke.
