A body pulled from the Potomac River on Sunday has been identified as 22-year-old Johnathon Bobby Dale Tichinel of Keyser. He was found by a family, kayaking in the vicinity of the water treatment facility in Westernport. According to reports, it appeared the body had been in the water for some period of time, but no obvious signs of trauma that would have caused death were observed. He was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Baltimore, the results of which are pending toxicology reports. Several groups were involved in the recovery and investigation, including the Allegany and Mineral County Sheriff’s Office, the Maryland State Police and the C3I Unit.
