COVID-19 LEVEL LISTED AS “LOW” FOR ALLEGANY COUNTY

The COVID-19 Community Level in Allegany has been listed as “low,” according to the Centers for Disease Control. As of Friday, there were 105 new COVID cases and zero additional deaths. The positivity rate is above the state average at 8.23 per cent; Maryland reports 7.39 per cent. The local level for cases per 100,000 is slightly higher than the state numbers. Vaccinations for young children are available statewide. In Allegany County, vaccinations for children under five, can be obtained from local pediatricians.
