MARYLAND GAS TAX TO TAKE EFFECT FRIDAY

Maryland already has some of the most expensive gas in the nation, and starting Friday, drivers will be paying even more.  That’s because the state’s gas tax will rise from 36 cents to 43 cents a gallon.  Drivers are currently paying four-85 a gallon for regular unleaded.  Governor Larry Hogan has repeatedly asked lawmakers to put the automatic tax increase on hold and approve a 90-day gas tax holiday.
