NO ABORTION LAW SPECIAL SESSION IN WEST VIRGINIA…YET

There is no plan to call for a special session to deal with West Virginia’s abortion laws.  Governor Justice believes the current law that is on the books dormant during the years of Roe v. Wade is fine for now.  The West Virginia law says that an abortion is a felony and could result in ten years in prison.  Meanwhile, lawyers and legislators are reviewing the old law, and the opportunity to update the law will come later.
